Proactive initiative as Yelahanka is already congested. But question mark looms over rega0rding Land acquisition at this point.
And better late than never, SWR should also explore the option of a bypass line connecting Hosur line towards Krishnarajapuram at the Baiyyappanahalli interchange. Will eliminate a whole lot of bottlenecks in relation to suburban traffic between Electronics City and Whitefield.

Linking Bettahalasoor (on Chikkaballapur line) to Rajanukunte (on DMM line) is a welcome move.
DMM line and Tumkur line need to be linked. Two options:
1. Rajanukunte can be linked with Tumkur line at Byranayakanahalli or Doddabele, by a 25 km line.
2. From Muddalinganahalli on Dabaspet Doddaballapura road, a line can be laid almost parallel to Road. 30 kms...

How about a 15 kms line from Caramelaram to Whitefield? Or Anekal to Malur 30 kms ?
Don't think Camerlam to Whitefield could be connected by rail in the already developed residential areas. Hosur line can be connected to Malur once the line from Hosur crosses ECity Hosur highway at Attibele it can take right and join Malur.
