I have a suggestion:
By converting ERS SBC SF rake to regular SL+3A rakes, Malabar Region can get a daily SF to Kannur or Kozhikode. Let me explain.

ERS SMVB SF DEP 0630 ARR 1730.

CAN SF DEP 1830 ARR 0730.
CAN ERS DEP 0900 ARR 1500.

Rake 2:
ERS CAN DEP 1000 ARR 1600
CAN SMVB SF DEP 1730 ARR 0630
SMVB ERS SF DEP 0900 ARR 2000.

North Kerala gets a daily night train, by allocating sleeper rakes. No additional rake requirements.
