I booked a MMCT NZM 3a ticket today for golden temple and chose VIKALP for tonight's Duronto. As expected GT ka confirm nahi hua. So now I'm waiting for chart preparation of Duronto. My question is -
Has anyone experienced their ticket confirming in Vikalp? If yes then when/how

This time also Vikalp has not confirmed your ticket. Your amount will be refunded.
After chart preperation of first train, you should have immediately got the ticket details for ticket confirmed using Vikalp in second train. Even when chart of second train has not been prepared

Thats what I thought after going through other posts here. But the reason I'm still confused is - generally after charting, e-ticket should get auto cancelled. But mine isn't. Also the status still shows "chart not prepared" I assume its talking about the vikalp train's chart not being prepared?
Last year too same happened as I had selected vikalp for the next day trains as well. But I manually cancelled it myself. Not sure what would have been the status the next day. Now the question which arises is, do they actually...
