I feel VB cannot be limited to 360 Kms one way journey. Minimum 500 kms required.
MYS SBC is golden route. SBC MAS also golden evergreen route.
SBC MAS SBC Shatabdi timings is a problem for Bangalore traveller's in almost all areas -- be it JP Nagar, Banashankari or Domlur, Marathahalli Koramangala Yelahanka etc. Early morning 4 one has to get up and catch taxi to reach SBC. Ditto problem when you reach at 2230 at SBC. One more hour of travel and a hole in...

Starting VB from SMVT will be a disaster. Should be from SBC only.
Yes Intercity type of trains like DD,VB, Shatabdi,Janshatabdi should start from SBC. Long distance trains should be from SMVT
The demand will increase if 4 things can be repaired i.e. time which is to be extended and should run @ 7 AM from Chennai instead of 5.50 AM. Secondly, speed should be increased from 75 Km/h to 85 Km/h. Thirdly, fares should be matched with Shatabdi Express and at last Shatabdi should to be replaced with Vande Bharat but fares should be kept of Shatabdi.
Moreover, where Vande Bharat is being operated that route should also be covered by Jan Shatabdi so that who can not afford VB can still travel...
