Yes opt for lower berth in AC1 (if you want cabin/coupe). If available, you will be allotted a lower. It may happen that you won't be alloted Lower Berth as all LBs are already filled up. In that case, you may get upper berth. If in cabin, you can ask co-passengers if they wish to switch.
