A better and clear overview of the plan would be visible after some more groundwork on the site !
Aren't they kind if useless as they are terminating platforms?There is a need of full length platforms seeing the congestion at LKO.

Can’t be said as useless. The time consumed by originating trains at a station such as LKO has a lot of impact on the traffic flow. Such originating trains if transferred to these new PFs would provide vacancy at LKO till the time entry exit lines are incresed to 4 from 2 (construction ongoing)
Abhi nahi. PFs aur maybe washing lines with entry exit lines from Utraitia to Lucknow ka kaam sab ek sath hi chal raha hai LKO NR me ! Progress dikhti hai har baar jab aap jaye !
LJN is seeing quite load these days especially in the afternoon due to originating/terminating trains. A terminal platform at LKO might allow couple of these trains to be shifted to LKO instead.
