Agree with your point. IR is only continuing this class for some more time but in future we can see all ac coaches in express / superfast trains.
Permanent train hai, extra paise kamane k leye SPL fare SPL chala rha hai. Tripura minister se inauguration hua hai.
So this has been appeared as one of the flopped idea.
Although Media and Ministry of Railway tried there best to project it as alternative of sleeper class but actually it appeared as alternative of 3rd AC only.
