Following announcement of 296 km GKP ⇌ LKO Vande Bharat via AY,
we have mixed response from rail enthusiasts.
Few wanted it to be till PRYJ (as per old news rumors) whereas some were against the alphabet 'C' shaped route. Since it was made to restricted till LKO, few suggested to extend it to CNB. there were other suggestions as well.

if it goes via GD then you can reduce 30 min between GKP LKO. Your current timings are based on AY route
The part regarding people using cars for GKP - AY [where road route is shorter than rail] and AY-LKO[where road route is faster than rail] is true. There is a reason why it could only be a eight coach VB. Still, I think it could be getting some pax from GKP to AY considering the only other rail alternative is a three times slower passenger.
Don't know who bumped an old thread but I think it is already decided that train will go to PRYJ whether we like it or not.
