Might start a blog on How Politics, Particular Party, Region, some Railfans etc are destroying Indian Railways by Increasing AC Coaches by replacing them with existing Sleeper Coaches, introducing empty Vande Bharat Trains, introducing empty Tejas Trains, introducing empty Humsafar Trains, Closing down Garib Rath Trains ................ Without actually providing any data.... Without actually doing anything like filing of PIL or even RTI....... ENTIRELY being a Keyboard Warrior in the comforts of my Home........... Haven't yet traveled in trains I'm calling empty..................

I too have left 3a some time ago & SL long time before. Though still I book 3ac but only when journey is b/w 2300 hrs to max 0600 hrs, that too SU berth & in unpopular routes. Can't dare to take a 3ac journey for even 5 hrs in Mumbai - Prayagraj route or Delhi - Patna route. SL only if its very short distance & train is less crowded (like in last leg of its journey) or if I am in Rajasthan, I can give it a try.
Gone are the days (pre 2015/16) when even a journey from Ranchi to Yesvantpur was done in super packed SL of 12835 HTE - YPR SF.

GS and SL fares are discounted by 50% and 40% an increase of 5% in base fare every year and Half AC and Half Non AC will solve the problem to great extent. Subsidy of petrol, diesel, cooking gas are increased gradually and people are used to pay higher fare. The fare of 3ACE should be that of GR so that SL will upgrade without much pain or pinch of money and 2SL can be reduced each year from 7SL.

Now Railways also took a worst descision to replace Darshan Express 3AC all coaches by 3AC Economy coaches. Whats madness going on by railways already Pune have less reliable trains.
To improve Lean Season Occupancy of Duronto Express, not that it needed one.
More experimentation can be done on Normal Trains than Premium Trains hence we have this.
