Currently the odd timings of Sahyadri express do not get passengers from Sangli or Miraj. Hence it runs empty almost every day. Change timings of Sahyadri Express to start from Mumbai at 23:00. This will become a popular and waitlisted train as passengers travelling to Sangli Miraj will us Sahyadri.

@guest: Re# 57758-1 You travel by ST Bus from Pune to Sangli and the Volvo charges you 370 rupees. Bus travel by expressway takes 4 hours. Whereas express train from Pune to Sangli takes 5 hours and charges are much lower than bus. Train travel takes just one hour more which is acceptable.
