It was nearly 0800 hrs. The Mailani bound train was 30+ minutes late, I recall. Since a loco reversal is done here, I took the time to take a peek inside 3A. Couple of coaches I looked into and they had singular passengers inside since mostly this is an overnight train for pax on the GKP - LJN loop line. Then it becomes a day train for Lucknow - Sitapur - Mailani passengers who crowd the SL/GN coaches. I guess if someone books an SL seat from Lucknow to Sitapur can easily be upgraded since AC coaches are plenty and many seats are empty in them.

I checked a couple of coaches and they only had one person inside because most people take this train overnight from GKP to LJN. But once it reaches Lucknow, Sitapur, and Mailani, it becomes a day train, and passengers crowd the normal coaches. I think if someone books a normal seat from Lucknow to Sitapur, they can easily get upgraded to AC since there are plenty of AC coaches with empty seats.

Kuch coaches maine dekhe aur unmein akela passenger tha kyunki zyadatar yeh raat bhar wale GKP - LJN loop line ki yatriyon ke liye hogi. Phir yeh din ke liye Lucknow - Sitapur - Mailani ke yatri ban jaati hai jinhone SL/GN coach bhar liye hote hai. Shayad agar koi Lucknow se Sitapur tak SL seat book karta hai toh unhe aasani se upgrade kiya jaa sakta hai kyunki AC coaches bahut hai aur unmein kai seat khali hoti hai.
