ShikariShambuJr~ 2519 blog postsThis train is the role model for red tape and wastage of assets in IR.Using 2 Dedicated LHB rakes for just 394 kms with no RSA.A passenger turned into a Jan Shatabdi which no one asked for.So much for hypocrisy NR to free PF and ruining intercity trains using RSA this occupies space at both points while NR keeps rejecting trains giving lecture about congestion

They should convert this train into a passenger train giving ICF rake instead these LHB rakes can be given to some other SF or M/E train.
These rakes are needed for Uttrakhand Sampark Kranti both link pairs RMR & KGM
Majority of ICE trains in India run faster than this 'Jan Shatabdi'. With such a short rake, it seems so that not much daily demand is there either. With ~10 hrs journey, I wonder why they didn't go for an overnight train then. They had to connect Tanakpur with the national capital [the only other state capital that it is connected to with daily is Lucknow], but the choice chosen is bad. Sleeper coaches would be better in this regard. Atleast the upper berth passengers can sleep. And Side Lower in SL is way better than 2nd Sitting style.
