You could take the MLN-BRK Express. That starts 2.5 hours later than this train, so might be easier to catch. That doesn't have Chair Car but goes via the same route and since you would be boarding from source, you had still get a nice window berth.
I too wish to travel on this route but getting hold via Mailani is near impossible as of now due to lack of rail connectivity due to Gauge conversion. Mailani was once connected via MG to Bareily/Izzatnagar, right?
Bareilly kya kisi jamane me ye BE-KSJ-AF tak connected tha. Tab Ispar Gokul Express , Gonda Express jaisi trains chala karti hai.
