I will tell you the station where passengers miss train the most. Lucknow. My relatives have missed it, only couple of days back, someone was roaming at the wrong terminal asking for a train that would never come.

Lucknow has two stations next to each other, in separate buildings. Lucknow NR, locally called Charbagh or 'Badi Line' comes under Northern Railways. It will be listed on your ticket as just "Lucknow" as it is the official name. The other is Lucknow Jn, which is called 'chhoti line' since MG trains once ran

from there. It comes under North Eastern Railways. It will be listed on your ticket as "Lucknow Jn". Only the term 'Jn' differentiates these two stations and if one doesn't pay close attention/is unaware, he/she will definitely miss it. I have seen people running for their trains to LJN at the last moment or missing it altogether since they waited at the wrong station.

Irony is government is changing names of all stations where it doesn't need to be changed[ Udhampur, Pratapgarh, Mughalsarai] but no one has touched Lucknow where two stations practically share the same name.
