Yes inflation, it increased several times in past 4 decades, even few days back a hotel bill of 1980s gone viral. When I left Coimbatore in 1990 I was paying gas bill Rs 59.
It technically originally ran with AC Chair Car and 1A as accomodation.
Quoting from Wikipedia, "The first train carried nine coaches, which were one Dining Car, one AC First Class, five AC Chair Car and two Generator/Power Car." I think the dining car is gone and so is the AC Chair Car [ which doesn't make much sense in retrospective, why introduce a premium train and then make it's passengers go through the journey in a sitting condition; reminds me of Yuva Express on same route now ].
