When VB train sets runs in multiple of 4, why hasn't been 12 coaches VB been tried till now?
I'm still surprised by this.
There are many VB where 8 coaches are filled but 16 will remain empty, such VB can be given 12 coaches VB.

Yes Dehradun ANVT, Coimbatore Chennai, Tirunelveli Chennai, KCG Yesvantpur, Kasagod TVC via Allepy are prime runners to increase capacity to 12 coach. 12 coaches VB will be better in terms of occupancy as capacity increases by 50% .
Agree Similarly, 16C VB running with over 100% occupancy should get 4 more coaches to increase rake length to 20 coaches like MMCT-GNC VB, NDLS-BSB VB, NDLS-SVDK VB etc for more passengers to accommodate.
Addition of 4 more coaches to New Delhi Varanasi and SVDK is ok but for Mumbai Ahmedabad there should be one more VB at 800 from both sides to arrive ADI at 515 and Return at 1700 to arrive at 2215. Stopage at Andheri should be provided. This is to serve travellers of different timezone and travel requirement of Mumbai Surat and ADI Surat and Surat Mumbai sections.
Yes but still 20 coacher VB can be run. Even from both end in reverse
