The CBI investigation revealed that Joshi had made investments and acquired assets worth 5 crores and 9 lakhs from November 8, 2016 to September 13, 2023, exceeding his income of 91 lakhs during this period. He also spent 26 lakhs during this time. The CBI found that Joshi had amassed illegal wealth of 4.44 crores during this period. The case has been filed under the Prevention of Corruption Act and the CBI has appointed Inspector Piyush Verma to investigate the case. The investigation found that Joshi had acquired properties worth crores in Dehradun, Noida, including a flat in Noida Rail Nagar, jewelry worth 54 lakhs, silver coins worth 29,650, and eight Fixed Deposits (FDs) worth 5 lakhs each, in his and his wife's names.

Is samay mein unki asal aay 91 lakh 93 hazaar 75 rupaye thi. Aur us samay mein unhone 26 lakh 29 hazaar 314 rupaye kharch bhi kiye. CBI jaanch mein pata chala ki is samay mein unhone 4 crore 44 lakh 8 hazaar 260 rupaye ki illegal kamaai ki thi. Is case mein unke khilaaf Corruption Niwaran Adhiniyam ki dharaon 13(2), 13(1)E aur dhara 13(2), 13(1) mein case darj kiya gaya hai. Jaanch mein pata chala ki unhone laakhon karoron ki sampatti Dehradun, Noida mein ek flat, locker mein 54 lakh rupaye ke jewellery, 29,650 ke chaandi ke sikke, Noida mein Rail Nagar mein ek flat, paanch lakh ki FD, patni ke naam paanch lakh ki FD, samite total aath FDs payi gayi hain. Yeh FDs KC Joshi aur unki patni ke naam hain. CBI ne is case ki vivechana Inspector Piyush Verma ke supurd ki hai.
