I have couple of questions regarding this train. If they had to run a train with so many stoppages, then why not run a normal ICE service with extra unreserved coaches? Why a Janshatabdi with dedicated reserved coaches only. I am sure many pax from intervening stations would love some UR coaches in this train.

Second, why not an overnight train between Tanakpur and Delhi? If you are giving an only connection b/w two cities and it takes ~10 hrs, then the proper way is to try for an overnight one. Sure,...

a day journey even takes one to Lucknow but that's because that train[ Tanakpur - Singrauli ] goes much furthur unlike this Jan Shatabdi which terminates much quickly.

Also, is this the slowest Jan Shatabdi in India? I have seen trains running in SER b/w KGP-HWH that stop at every station en route and have a higher average than this.
