On January 6th, 2024, a group of 27 passengers, including women and children, boarded a train from Prayagraj to Katni Junction. They had booked seats in coaches S6 and S2, but these coaches were locked and inaccessible. They managed to board coach B6, but were unable to secure their designated seats....

Passengers contacted the Railway helpline 139 to report the issue, but received no assistance for over three and a half hours. The issue was only resolved when a joint team of Railway Protection Force (RPF), Government Railway Police (GRP), and other Railway officials intervened to help the passengers reach their designated seats.
