Not possible 407km will take 5hrs and Coimbatore is already crowded with many intercities leaving in morning. There is a intercity in morning at 600 and it's only 1 ACC get empty after Khozikode Kannur and demand even will not be there towards Karnataka from Coimbatore and so is Khozikode kannur.
What about PM and where should it be done? Should be bought back to Manguluru 46km every day. As they are no maintainance facilities even basic to check VB at night Kasargod TVM 8 coach is running with 2 rakes with PM at TVM

Nothing can increase patronage of this train during week days as the occupancy is only 20% with only 100 seats and availability of 390. A stop at Gokarna wil give additional 50 towards Goa and 100 during weekends but it will not get that 50-100 from Mangalore. The reverse being 1810 dep from Madgaon they will be no tourists even for Gokarna as rooms check in starts at 1200. A late dep at Madgaon is not required as it's not...

CBE-MAQ there was a Shatabdi proposed couple of years back but nothing materialised. CBE-MAQ is also more a section where an intercity kind of train will work much better. VB may not work.
