Patna ke pas dedicated train nahi thi for Delhi. Patna se dedicated train ki demand ho rahi thi Delhi ke liye fir 1982 me Magadh introduce hui Jo daily thi to BGP ilake se VS ko bhi daily ki demand hone lagi. kuch hi samay baad IR ne decide kiya ki VS aur Magadh ko Merge kar ke chalaya jaye dhyan dene wali baat ye thi ki VS ki apni identity bani rahi wo Magadh ke link number se nahi apne hi number se Bhagalpur se chalti thi Jo 3467/3468 tha. later 2003 ke 1st July se VS ko again alag kar diya gaya. VS ki apni identity always rahi hai.
ye BSK n all kafi bachhi hain VS ke samne.

VS ka ANVT shift bhi NDLS par hue ek incident aka accident ke baad hua hai as 14:10 par BSK 14:40 par VS aur 14:50 par Sapt Kranti teeno hi crowd wali train thi aur wo accident Sapt Kranti aur VS ke bich hua tha to inhi dono ko ANVT shift kiya gaya as wo new terminal tha.
