Gorakhpur Junction sells around 3000 general tickets daily for Delhi alone, while only three general coaches are available on the Gorakhdam Express. Passengers struggle to find seats even after waiting in long queues under the sun. The situation is similar for other express trains running to Punjab, Mumbai, Pune, Surat, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Secunderabad. The number of air-conditioned coaches is increasing while the number of general coaches remains limited at two to three. Gorakhpur Junction operates 16 express trains daily, with around 150 air-conditioned coaches compared to only 60 general coaches. Despite the limited availability, around 20,000 general tickets are sold daily, with the situation being worst for Delhi and Mumbai. While multiple express trains run to Mumbai, only the Gorakhdam Express connects Gorakhpur to Delhi.

Passengers ko dhoop me lambi line lagaane ke baad bhi seats nahi mil paa rahi hain. Dusre express trains me bhi crowded hone ki wajah se log chhad nahi paate hain. Punjab, Mumbai, Pune, Surat, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, aur Secunderabad jaane waali trains me bhi yahi situation hai. AC coaches ki number badh raha hai lekin general coaches ki number sirf do se teen hi hai. Gorakhpur Junction se har din 16 express trains chalti hain, jisme 150 AC coaches hai lekin sirf 60 general coaches hain.
