I think ab vo samay aa gya hai jab Indian Railways me re-zoning ki jaaye.
Is samay Indian Railways ke zones aur divisions itne jaada cluttered ho chuke hai.
Mathura ke paas me North Central Railways aur North Eastern railways NR yaani Northern Railways se bhi jada north me hai🤡
Central Railways ka kuch portion South Central Railways ke south me hai😂.

direction wise North ke east me North East hota hai aur North ke west me North West hota hai lekin Kuch sections me NER zone NR aur NWR ke beech me hai.
Aur kuch aise routes hai jaha pe parallel me tracks alag alag zones ke hai. Jisse agar ek track pe kaam krna ho to doosra zone permission Dene me 2-3 saal laga deta hai.
Same cheej Aishbagh Manaknagar doubling me hui.
NR aur NER ke tracks ek hi location pe hai but NR ne NER ko rula diya block ki permission Dene me.
Isse overall nuksaan hum common passengers ka hi hai.
Kyunki jab do zone ek hi jagah pe hote hai to vo aapas me hi conflicts kr lete hai.
Unnao Junction se 55 km North me jayenge to NER ka Lucknow division lag jaata hai
100 m West me jayenge NR ka Moradabad Division lag jaata hai.
10 km south me jayenge to NCR ka Prayagraj Division lag jaata hai aur Unnao khud NR ke Lucknow Division me hai.
Sirf itne se section pe 4 alag alag division aur 3 alag zones jara jara si doori pe hai.
Isliye is route pe itna conflict hota hai.
Yaha pe jab train NR ke tracks pe hoti hai to NR apni trains ko priority pe daal deta hai aur baaki trains late kar deta hai. Jab train NER pahuchti hai to NER wale apni trains ko priority dene lag jaate hai. Aur same cheej NCR wale krte hai.

Isliye ab railways ko jaroorat hai ki IR ki dobara sahi se zoning ki jaaye aur jo ye ho rha hai ki agal bagal ke sabhi tracks ek particular division ke hai aur beech me ek track aa jaata hai jo doosre division ka hai ye cheej na ho.
Isse overall trains ki efficiency badhegi aur zonal conflicts kam se kam honge.

During lockdown I have a read a news column ( don't remember correctly searched for it but couldn't find) the Railway Ministry and Railway board got a report that there is no necessity of these many railway zones with divisional territories and the whole network should be classified into 4 zones North East West South. With the use of modern data analysis tools the RB can get data where there is demand and can introduce new trains. Regrading operation of trains they will lot of changes which will reduce wastage of human resources and effective use which required reforms in IR and how far the railway unions will coopeate is a matter.

simple example SWR manages track upto Dharmavaram which is 190km or 4 hrs, where as the loco pilot duty hours is 8 hrs per day and can run a loco for 6-8 hours in stretch, Similarly SR upto Renigunta for 140km or 3 hours can run the train upto Guntakal and from Guntakal to Solapur or SC. Lot of time is being wasted for return trip of loco staff when there is no train inthe time zone or arrival at destination. Similarly HWH VskP 880 km is handed by 3 sets of crew which should be only 2 HWH to BBS to VskP.
