Hello,
Can we travel with the xerox copy of a tatkal i-ticket, having original ID cards ?.
Is it like we can pay the fine for the loss of the tatkal i-ticket and continue the journey ?
Your feedback will be helpful for me to understand the correct rules.

I used the PNR number and sent it to 139. I got the details in my mobile phone. But the message will not contain any name. It contains only Passenger#1 etc...
You cant travel without the original Tatkal PRS ticket. You wont be able to get duplicate for tatkal ticket.
You can refer to the WWW.INDIANRAIL.GOV.IN website the rules are mentioned over there..
The duplicate tatkal tickets are issued in exceptional cases on payment of full fare under the discretionary powers of the officer nominated at reservation office. Also, it should be proved that the incident its beyond the control of the passenger (like theft, fire, natural calamities etc) with adequate proof for the same
