Despite the crowd's presence, the baby's identity remained unknown. The body's condition suggested it had been discarded there sometime in the early hours of Saturday. Madhuban police arrived and, after initial investigations and questioning local residents, took possession of the body and sent it for a post-mortem. The Madhuban police station in charge, Jai Prakash, stated that an investigation into the incident is ongoing, and further action will be taken after the post-mortem report is received.
