asara4u 20 blog postsI booked a CKWL ticket in this train from MAS-CBE and it did not get confirmed. The booking charges were Rs. 838.83 and after automatic cancellation got only Rs. 779. The diff is almost Rs.60. Where does it all go, I know reservation fee Rs.20 and payment gateway fee wont be refunded. That amounts only to Rs.32/- max. Can someone explain how these cancellation charges are taken? The amount I have quoted are actual amount deducted from CreditCard.

Service tax would be refunded by a different channel, isn't it?
No service refund that was told before will be given by different channel but later changed no service tax refund..
ticket fare (including tatkal and service tax) - Rs 804
irctc service cahrge - Rs 20
total - Rs 824
it seems like you booked from a card and hence payment gateway charge (bank charge) - Rs 14.83 (1.8% of 824)
