Now that Ernakuam-Kottayam-Kayamkulam doubling is completed, Railways can extend 12677/12678 Bangalore-Ernakulam intercity to Trivandrum central or Kochuveli via kayamkulam, Kollam
TVC/KCVL doesn't have slots for maintenance.....moreover at the time that it runs, there are path constraints ( towards TVC) Venad or Janshatabdi will be ahead and they will be priorities. In the return direction as well, lots of local commuter trains in the morning from TVC along with Vande Bharat and others. So path slots issue will always be there
