Dr. Dhawan explained that the Hindustan Republican Association, the organization behind the action, aimed to overthrow British rule in India through an armed revolution. To fund this, the revolutionaries hijacked the 8 Down train on August 9th, 1925, near Kakori, seizing government funds. The exhibition will continue until August 23rd. In a related event, the Kakori Train Action Centenary Celebration Festival was inaugurated at Career Convent Girls PG College. Principal Dr. Deepak Kumar Srivastava provided information about the centenary celebrations.
