Vikramshila departure 14:15, arrival New Delhi 10:55.
Only 3 trains originated from Bihar to Delhi. The other was Jayanti Janta express from Muzaffarpur, and Tatanagar Express (via Daltonganj).

Assam Mail was running till 1965. 1959-65 route was DLI-BJU via PNBE in BG & BJU-AMJ(Later DBRT via GHY-LMG-NTSK) in MG via KIR-BOE-PBP-KNA(Sealdah part linked)-GTG-GKJ-BNGN-RNY. In 1965 Sealdah-KNA part was permanently cancelled & route of Assam Mail changed to BJU-KIR-BOE-SGUJ-APDJ-BNGN-RNY-GHY-LMG-MXN-NTSK. Tinsukia mail restarted in 1972, on 25th year of Indian Independence day. Assam Mail was finally discontinued in 1985. I have a "Bharat Bhromon" Book of the 1960's, originally belonged to my Grandfather & is still intact. Assam Mail timings under how to reach Assam is glowing
