Need to extend this train upto Jogbani(JBN) Because there are only one train(tri-weekly) from Jogbani to Kolkata(via- KIR, MLDT, NFK, RPH, BHP, BWN, NH) It will be very helpful for the people of Jogbani, Forbesganj, Purnea and BAK loop line(JRLE, AZ, KWAE, NDAE, BDC) to reach Howrah at morning.
This train, 15711 currently running as a weekly train, if it extended upto Jogbani then it's frequency also need to increase(tri-weekly at least).

Not every train from KIR CDO can be extended to jogbani. The current jbn Kolkata train has a major chunk of passengers from katihar only so instead of putting absurd demands reach out to your regional representative for new connections from jogbani to Chennai banglore ltt etc.

Hello gentlemen. Needed your guidance on a travel plan. I need to travel (with family) from Kolkata/HWH to Supaul (SOU) and back. Idea is to reach Supaul by Saturday and return on the following Wednesday/Thursday.

Now I'm given to understand that we have 13163/64 to connect us to SHC, but any connecting MEMU/Passenger is several hours later (13163 is supposed to reach SHC at 12:45pm, followed by 04031 GR Spl exactly 15 mins later at 1pm from SHC, wouldn't it be too tight?). What other commuting options/routes can be availed?

Can't believe some parts of Bihar state despite being so close to Bengal border are so painfully inaccessible to/from WB... anyways, I would really appreciate a prompt response and guidance on this. Thank you in advance.

Most probably 04031 would be late as there will be less Turn around time for arriving train. Better to go for Road options.

Heartfelt thanks for your promptness... but from where? Forgive my ignorance, I have never up until now have had the good fortune to visit Saharsa (or overall these northeastern parts of Bihar state)... are there commuting options like hired vehicles/cars/taxis or even decent buses that connect Saharsa to Supaul? If not Saharsa, what other point can be used as a transit stopover/interchange point? (I am really not looking forward to travel to Darbhanga, as it'd be a really long and arduous commute between Darbhanga and Supaul - though the roads have become much better now as I'm given to hear).

and WB is perhaps like the second home for people from Bihar, I wonder how so many towns and districts are still far from being connected to their adjacent state so many years into 21st century already! I had a harrowing time very recently whilst traveling to Rajgir/Nalanda, changing trains at Bakhtiyarpur, so much so that during return I decided to travel to Gaya to connect to ample availability of comfortable train rides back home. Not even the bus services are sufficient, and the age old trusted train services are dwindling with each passing year! (except PNBE HWH VB, not a single new regular/permanent train for several years together now..!)

I wonder if this is being done deliberately by RB, to make regular commuters/passengers in this region suffer...
