there are 2 shatabdis one each in morning nd evening.
as such duronto concept needs to be dumped. instead a new overnight sf train like shramshakti is reqd with 3 stoppages at umb, ldh and juc/beas.

Even if you wish a train to be introduced, it should not be a Duronto. Instead, a train with halts en route will cater much to the needs of the passengers of this busy stretch, may it be an overnight or a day train (w.r.t. availability of proper time-slot ).
Yes, but from 10 to 4Pm there are not such trains which are having more than 65 Km/hr Avg Speed. As all SF/Exp arrives after 6 Pm @ ASR.
Where as Shatb are quiet sufficient for daily travelers.
But Very Fews trains are there in the afternoon section which has more Avg Speed except GR
