Over the last 40 years , there have been only 3 trains connecting Mumbai & Chennai. It is high time to start a Duronto service between Mumbai & Chennai if not Shatabdi. This is again based on the leave that people get from their organizations to discover the Southern Region in the country with their families and educate their children and enjoy and learn more about Incredible India.Similarly, Madurai & Tiruchirappalli have developed into big urban cities and they require speedy connectivity between the metros directly. Hence Duronto between Mumbai and Trichy/Madurai is also required so that the travel time is considerably reduced and is cost effective.
increasing min.4 coaches in all three trains will be good option.
Shatabdi wd be best option if it can be....................:-)
there are 3 trains running daily, if 4 coaches are augmented in each train then total 12 coaches are increased per day i.e 84 coaches a week so even if new train is started it will be mostly 1/2 days a week with 16-18 coaches, which will be better option???? ......
To increase the coaches in the existing trains they needs to be shift to LTT from CSTM & Dadar due to capacity issues at these stations. Thanks.
1200km shatabdi not possible.even if they started duronto the people from intermediate stations wont get benefit so i think a SF will be better
