if IR can upgrade from SL to 3ac,2ac,1ac ....... then why railway cant upgrade unreserved passanger ?

ya but at UR tkt window they can print seat no on UR tkt if seat remain vacant in SL too...................
Manual upgradation of an unreserved ticket is possible to any higher class, subject to availability
but in that case TTE collect difference of fare ..... if he is upgrading the passanger manually then why railway collecting difference of fare ? rule shud be same for all classes..........
try to get the purpose of upgradation. its not for passengers sake. its for railways sake. so that train does not run vacant. passengers shifted to upper class to allow passengers of lower class travel. had it been for passengers sake, the criterias wont be there. criterias like upgradations will only occur when lower class is in waiting list. it is for maximal utilisation of berths. now if ur passengers are upgraded that wont serve any purpose for rlys. the core is something else and target and policies something else. witty implementation by sri lalu yadav.
GEN class is also a type class BG sir .......... upgrading shud be there if more than 30 % seat remain vacant ..........
