Base fare 589 + res. 25 +s.f 30 +s.t. 24= 670 per adult... and for four it is 2680 ...
But you paid 2505 and 175 must have been due on your actual travel.
but you cancelled before ticket before due date...

if 25% quantum (questionable and not justified) : the deduction works out as under:
25%% of 2680= 608
Now you have cancelled a WL ticket before 24 hours and rule says that:
UNUSED WAIT LISTED OR RAC TICKETS :
(1A) Subject to provisions of subrule (2), no cancellation charges shall be payable if a wait-listed or RAC ticket is presented for cancellation

Dr.Nazeer: You have been charged what seems to be 25% and not WL category...
Please approach the SM if ticket was PRS, else you have to file complaint with IRCTC...
AND
PRS refuses also you have to file complaint for refund of excess deduction...
