saw it crossing near BNC @2pm.Noticed some staff/people onboard.

Yes it was final trial run and staff and other affiliated members were allowed. Even I got a inivation to board it from BWT to SBC but could not make it due to preoccupation and timing.
As per newspapers today, some miscreants had targeted Chennai-Bangalore Double Decker for stone-pelting and had damaged at least 2 windows.
