goods driver's basic is Re 3900/- whereas Passenger driver's basic is Re 4600/- that will make the difference also obviously goods drivers will have less mileage when compared to passenger driver...even though they needs to spend more time inside the train....for promotion to Passenger Driver from Goods they need to write departmental exams conducted by ZTS.
