Despite the UP train came 6+ hrs, This Down train departed today ontime! (the 20 min delay @KYN , I consider as ontime itself as last week this train was 4 hrs late.)

CSTM has no space. might be true. But for a Rajdhani to be started, it shud be given to CSTM only. In compensation, one of the other zone train of cstm can be shifted to LTT.

Kalyan/New Mumbai/Thane se BCT takes 2 hrs. BCT to NZM, by August Kranti takes 17 hrs 15 mins.
In total, 20 hours is gone there only.
Two Rajdhani is there, one rajdhani alike duronto is there, GR/YUVA is there.
WR is shortest route but look at this,

Rajdhani take 15 hrs 50 mins with 4 stops.
August Kranti Rajdhani takes 17 hrs 15 mins with 12 halts!
Garib Rath/Yuva Express takes 16 hrs 45 mins with 7 halts.
Mumbai Duronto takes 17 hrs 40 mins with just 3 halts that too technical.
you tell me WR (BCT, BRC, Ratlam) and WCR (Kota) do these zones know what duronto is? A train that takes least number of halts i.e 3 technical halts, still the duronto is slowest amongst these 4 four trains?
The second Rajdhani is given as max as 17 halts?
Is the shortest distance via WR bet bct n ndls of any use? with so many halts and slow speed for duronto?
The gona be started LTT NZM AC Express takes 20 hrs via Bhopal.
With LTT NZM AC Express, people can go upto Bhopal, Agra,etc
Compare the halts Vadodara, Ratlam and Kota with Nasik(for shirdi), Bhopal , Mathura and Agra wrt to boarding and deboarding no of passengers.
Nasik people need to come BCT to catch a train for Delhi, as for delhi it has just few trains just like Pune people (but now pune has duronto for nzm). Even BSL is somewhat the same.
via Bhopal has just 2 Rajdhani per day i.e Bangalore Rajdhani daily and MAS/SC/BSP Rajdhani (5 days a week) while WR side has almost 3 including Trivandrum Rajdhani (3 days a week) and TWO rajdhanis (daily).
via Bhopal is also important route, not to forget it has fastest train of India in that route to prove its importance.

You have raised many valid points but I disagree on a few of them:
1) WR does a commendable job handling such a busy section (BRC-BCT) with just 2 tracks and meeting so many people's expectations. Every now and then, some mp/ politician from some intermediate station demands stop for premier trains. Latest example is Boisar.
August Kranti is a victim of this. Still, look at its average speed. This deserves a star (more than Mumbai Raj).

Secondly, CSTM deserves a Rajdhani for sure. No denying it. Infact, I would say, Mah SK should be run from CSTM so that atleast 5-6 stations from Maharashtra can be benifitted instead of the current 1 (BVI is Mumbai only).
3) My reply was to that poster saying why back in the days, Mumbai Raj was started from BCT and not CSTM. During that time, Mumbai- NDLS via MMR-BSL-ET was not as fast as today and would have taken 20+ hours. But, Rajdhani even then used to take 16+ hours only via BRC-KOTA.
4)Regarding NDLS Duranto, why are you blaming WR? It runs through NR/ WCR too, isn't it? With so much traffic ahead of it, still it does a commendable job. Throughout IR, there are many Durantos that take more time than normal SFE. So be it.

How Can you Say that halt Demand at Boisar is Politics? Which MP/MLA etc asked for halt.Also Which Premier trains did they ask?
It is on Public Demand. Secondly, whatever is done is nothing before What WR has Done to them, even more should have been done. Fooling away People from Several Years on the name of Locals and providing stoppages to stations like Vapi of Much Premier trains like Rajdhani and Shatabdi and you are calling Boisar as Example. Much comes Before Boisar in Example Like Vasai Which was Sanctioned halt on Demand of Baliram Jadhav by RB. Also WR is providing stoppage to Mumbai Rajdhani on Demand of MP Sanjay Nirupam, isnt that politics? And you are Saying that

Boisar gets halt in Politics. Once you go and See the Crowd at Boisar in Every train, Even CCG VR fast Local Will be Defeated in that respect

WR is there right from BCT to Ratlam, for the same reason of vast area of WR, Mumbai Rajdhani gets priority but Duronto is given least despite it being non stop service taking lesser halts than rajdhani.
Mumbai Rajdhani departs during crowd time of locals and other trains, still attains such high average speed and Duronto departs in night time, still cant make equal average speed?
Durontos are slow only in WR section, NZM-ERS DURONTO, BCT-NDLS Duronto, etc,

The Concept of short distance for a rajdhani for Mumbai means that the rajdhani for mumbai should follow shortest possible route because it will take lesser time to reach Mumbai from Delhi.
Does this short distance concept fits for August Kranti which takes 1 hr 25 mins more than BCT Raj ? and still talks are there for thrid raj by same route where a duronto doesnt get its deserved priority, duronto also provides shortest distance rajdhani type service.
Hence, Rajdhani service is also about the intermediate halts that it takes so short distance concept is already used twice for WR as already they have 2 rajs.
Also, there many Rajdhanis using longer routes,BBS Raj via tata, HWH Raj via PNBE, DBRG Raj via bsb, rnc raj
Even TVC Rajdhani which takes just 2 halts between Mumbai and Delhi, i.e brc and kota, takes more time than ak raj.
