यात्रियों ने स्टेशन पर तोड़-फोड़ करने के साथ ड्यूटी पर तैनात सहायक स्टेशन मास्टर को पीट दिया। जिससे उनका हाथ टूट गया है। वाकी-टाकी को छीन कर उसे भी तोड़ दिया

हादसे के चलते दिल्ली से आने वाली ट्रेनें फंसी रहीं जिससे रात भर यात्री परेशान रहे। सेंट्रल पर पूछताछ काउंटर पर भी ट्रेनों की सही जानकारी नहीं दी गई। शनिवार सुबह दस बजे के बाद ही ट्रेनों का संचालन व्यवस्थित हो सका।
