Despite of giving prefernece of Lower Berth (LB) for my mother, I got Upper Berth. Why railway is doing so for 50+ women. They should consider the age at least of an woman.
Is ther any way to change the berth number ?

yes. there is a risk but if there are only limited seats then you can hope for consecutive Lb berths..
it is on August 4th...on train 22909...By the way how you know about LB status ? You must be choosing that option (Book only if 1 LB is avaialble)...right ??
On aug 4th, all classes are in RAC/ WL now. And LB quota got exhausted in all classes. But when you asked , there were 4 avbl in SL.
To know the LB status, Go to the train availability page in IRI and select Lower berth from the drop down menu. /train/seats/14073
Pls keep in mind that A lady above 45 yrs or male senior citizen is eligible for LB quota if she/he is traveling alone.

Yes got it...Thanks a lot...but I was looking ofr 3AC...while booking it was available 3...so LB must had been finished by that time...anyway thanks
