A brief report on the possibility of introduction of Shatabdi between secunderabad and vizag.
If we think practically it seems to be possible to run a shatabdi between these two cities. The present fastest train on this route is the duronto which covers the distance of 701 kms in 9 hrs and 30 min, running with a maximum speed of 120 kmph. This travel time can be reduced by 1 hr with LHB rakes of a shatabdi running at MPS of 135-140 kmph. The only thing is to reduce the travel time from 9hr:30min to 8hr:30 min. This can be done by comprision of timing between duronto and proposed shatabdi. This shatabdi should take 10min less time than duronto from sc to...

a general train between SC to VSKP via WL, KMT can be introduced. it will be a immediate hit rather than shatabdi
You are talking about 1992 days. Now many things changed dude its almost 20 years passed. Now there are many day time volvo buses to BZA, RJY, VSKP from hyderabad. In 1992 even hardly not a single AC bus from SC- VSKP also. So that comparison invalid.
Gundala getting ready should make the gates open for this Shatabdi which becomes absolutely viable...
Any type of train between SC to vskp is a hit...may be least demand train is day time duranto.
So is the janmabhoomi exp from sc to vskp running empty daily?? Some times your ticket doesnot confirm even in tatkal quota. It is completely a day train. Shatabdi will be a major hit on this route..
