It would have been nice if this train was run on YPR - DMM - GTL - RC - GR - SUR - DD - MMR route. RC and GR lag in connectivity to NDLS.RC has only 41 seats in Karnataka Exp and 37 seats in Rajdhani, which is 4 days a week. While GR has only 1 train to NDLS which has around 70 seats (including seats in all classes). While UBL has a daily connectivity to NDLS by GOA link, biweekly KSK (12629/30) and weekly MYS - NZM Swarn Jayanti Exp. Biweekly 12629/30 serves UBL/BGM/PUNE. This biweekly train would serve RC/GR/SUR. This combination (12629/30 & 22685/86) would become a perfect Karnataka Sampark Kranti, serving more parts of Karnataka. Also by running on this route, 2 loco reversals can be reduced (PUNE/DD). Also running time from YPR - DD can be cut down by 5 hrs from its present timings.

Yes, that is a very good suggestion. There is not a single train in YPR-DMM-GTL-WADI-SUR-PUNE-KYN-BRC-RTM-KOTA-NZM. Also WR is capable of running trains at high speed of 130-140 kmph. This train being LHB, can easily hit 130 kmph mark.

Completely agree with you. This train should run on YPR-CTA-BAY-WADI route. It will add around 200km more to end-end passengers but this is KARNATAKA Sampark Kranti. It should serve Karnataka people. Is it possible to run trains from BAY - WADI bypassing GTL? If yes, loco reversal can be saved.

The respective sampark kranti should serve home zone more. Even if its not diverted it should have more halts in KARNATAKA. ASK,RRB should be added. TNSK,APSK,KeSK has lot of stoppings in its home state. This route has only two trains to the national capital . Swaran jyanthi is fulfilling the need here. This train has less stoppages on this route.

Anyways they are not going to divert it, at least they should add more stops in Karnataka as you said. I started this blog just to mention that If it takes the route that I have suggested, it will serve more people from Karnataka.
