Hi,
Today I was trying to book a tatkal ticket on 2560/Shiv Ganga Express through irctc from Kanpur(CNB) to Varanasi(BSB) for journey date: 7-11-2010.
As the train reaches Kanpur on Day 2 of its journey, starting from New Delhi(NDLS) a day before at 18:45(6-11-2010) and reaching Kanpur at 00:55(7-11-2010), the tatkal opens on 4th Nov for train on 6th Nov. But the site doesn't allow booking for 7-11-2010 i.e. the date it reaches Kanpur.

Thank you Shri Vishwa Nath. I was not aware that booking through PRS is possible one day in advance than the IRCTC. It is a very useful information which I can use it next time.
earlier too i have raised this ARP problem here but gone unnoticed.
we are facing this type of problem to book ticket in 3420 and 4005 since long time.

Thanks a lot for the information, this is surely quite uncommon. I also hope that irctc can fix this technical glitch soon.

This is a wrong information . Rules are same for PRS and online booking . Please check at PRS counter there also the same rule apply.

the rules are same for PRS and IRCTC both. It can be done only 2 days in Advance .
