Did happen that a passenger train is running and sudden diesel go off in mid way.

Or is it diesel getting evaporated / leaked midway?
If that is what u r asking then in summer we had a case with 10103 Mandovi Express where after hitting some fallen rocks, the loco was reported to have diesel leaking all d way from Rajapur to Kankavli and thereafter another loco was called for d rescue...

I hope LP/ALP will keep a close eye on the fuel meter, before it becomes ZERO
Never heard of this in IR, but it's very common in Pakistan Railways.
Happened with Kamrup Exp(5960) just 2 days back...train started from New Tinsukia @ 19.40 & suddenly LP realised that engine is running out of fuel...then train was pulled off towards the end of PF finally after refulelling train started @ 20.03..Engine was HWH WDM-3D
