The 3.015 km long Kolia Bhomora Setu connecting Tezpore with Nagaon in Assam is the longest bridge present at this point over the Brahmaputra to connect its North Bank with South Bank...A parrallel Rail Bridge has been sanctioned to connect Silghat Town with Tezpore.

sachin ji,actually Tezpore is the 4th biggest city of Assam(after Guwahati,Dibrugarh & Jorhat)....but there used to be MG connectivity with Brahmaputra North Bank all the way long till Awadh-Tirhut Region via Rangiya,Alipurduar,Siliguri,Katihar,Samastipur etc etc...Now Govt of India has undertaken Gauge conversion of this sensitive region which lies from Rangiya to as far as Arunachal Pradesh...Rangapara North is precisely one of the many Jn lying in the North Bank Main Line(which was very much active till early 2000's) from where line for Tezpore diverges out...now Gauge conversion of till Dekargaon(suberbs of TZTB) is complete & is fasstly progressing towards the end of Brahmaputra North Bank
