Interesting observations of the chart of train 12618 that left Nizamuddin on 14-Nov-2013 and which eventually met with an accident on 15-Nov:
Coach A1, Berth 20, CK quota berth, defined from NZM to ERS, was given to 5 passengers in different segments:

Infact check passengers allotted to S1 (all berths defined from NZM to ERS). Almost all berths have 3 or 4 passengers assigned to it.
No wonder why so many WL tickets get confirmed at charting.

Infact why do have to wait for train accidents to get access to train charts? They should be made available online for passengers to analyze the probability of getting confirmed reservations. Passenger names should be hidden.
