A total RoB has collapsed in MFP & fell down over a through pass BCNA Goods trains(carrying foodgrains) & few bogies of the goods train are completeley damaged & several people have died who were driving vehicles though the condition of the RoB was not @ all fit for vehicular traffic...ECR CPRO has announced complete shutdown of train services in that route atleast for next 24 Hrs & this route is strategically a very important corridor & falls in Gorakhpur-Katihar Main Line section.same incident occured few years ago in Bhagalpur too....if you see the places like bhagalpur & muzaffarpur in Google Map you can understand how much crowdy it is nearby rly stations....that is additional pit lines,extension of platforms kinda work is very difficult in these areas & people of Bhagalpur always thinks that Malda Division is always depriving off them from better train services....reality is if Rly is going to...

establish DRM Office,additional PF & Pit Lines then it has to acquire huge amount of land which is next to impossible within the city limits.....regarding Rajdhani stoppage @ Bhagalpur if its gonna happen,then willbe totally out of political will because Malda Town-Kiul Section is one of the slowest sections of IR & Brahmaputra Mail is the fastest train in that corridor which travels approx 13-14 Hrs MLDT-PNBE via BGP....if Dibrugarh Rajdhani is going to travel via Bhagalpur it means PNBE-NJP is 17 Hrs journey,whereas presently PNBE NJP via KIR is only 8 Hrs journey....
