HOW MUCH TIME WILL BE REDUCED IF TRAINS ARE ROUTED VIA NAIHATI,KRISHNANAGAR CITY JN,BEHRAMPUR COURT,JIAGANG-AZIMGANJ-NFK towards north bengal,north east
nasipur bridge is ready over Ganga...but problem is from the eastward end of Ganga River upto Azimganj station,a huge settlement has to be detroyed & all of those 370+families are demanding compensation for their land(4 times the market price)+a secured Rly job for each of the families...The Then Rly Minister Mamata Banerjee had announced such without caring about the financial health of Rlys & they're not ready for any other compensation...so even if the bridge had been completed long ago,rail link upto AZ cant be extended....
but this project is of immense importance.........intention was always good.......both banks of ganga will be connected..............

WHAT about katwa-ahmedpur jn gauge conversion.that will also link katwa line with the rampurhat line...........
