Electrification from Shornur (SRR) to Tirur (TIR) is already completed three month back and upto PGI last month.
As of now work is completed upto Meenchantha almost, And work is progressing in between PGI-CLT sector, @ Kadalundi, Feroke, Kallai stations. Railway will assure that they can complete the work upto Feroke sector with in a week.

Seen a news report last week, that PGT Divn. has forwarded the suggestion for making pit-lines in West Hill, to Railway Board for approval. If it gets approved, i think we can see some new trains with Electric Locos starting from CLT, soon.
If so, it will be GREAT BOOM for MALABARRR!!!
