I have a query regarding child passenger travelling through me. I have made booking in which 3 full tickets are there, but I could not entered the child's name in the ticket. Is there is any specific requirement of child's name entered in to the ticket for travelling with us. Please give me your valuable views on this.

Generally I was entering child's name in the e-ticket/PRS tickets, but this ticket was made from a third party and was not done in it.

I have one query I booked ticket for 7-6-2013 TVCRaj from ERS to NZM and got 3 confirmed tickets. The issue is that the seats are not in continuous serial. Scanned copy of ticket is attached for reference. In my Traveling List I made preference for my three tickets was 1 UB, 2 LB & 3 MB, but 2 was allotted SL as against my preference of LB. In simple sense I want all seats in a raw, but the system was allotted at different places. How this is happening? If I want the tickets in a raw what will I have to do? Please give me your valuable experiences on this.

Once I selected the last option, then they system showed that no such booking is available, then I changed it to None, then the booking has bee made and allotted the tickets as given in the scanned file. Earlier also I have been allotted like this, always allotting SL instead of my preference of LB in the final booking done by the system.

They have to ask for a Garib Rath from NDLS/NZM to TVC/KCVL/ERS with maximum coaches. Now This sector is not having such a fully AC common man train. In other trains, AC tickets are not sufficient as per the demand of passengers. Both Mumbai & Banglore sector is having Garib Rath Express. It is a unfair on part of both the Kerala Govt. and Railways.

I have booked three tickets each for two dates one for 14-05-2013 from NDLS to TCR which is a confirmed ticket and another for 18-05-2013 in Waiting List. The ticket charge was Rs. 4821 without their commission of Rs. 20.
I cancelled both these tickets on same day and IRCTC has credited Rs. 4626/- in confirmed ticket and Rs. 4746/- in Waiting Listed second ticket. In both tickets Rs. 175/- was service tax. In first ticket Rs. 195/- was deducted and in second ticket Rs. 75 was deducted.

In my both the bookings Rs. 175/- was service tax, they deducted Rs. 195/- in first ticket and Rs. 75 in second ticket. If the service tax is not returned back then the deduction will be more than what they deducted from me.

Can you break up the deduction of Rs. 75/- in case of WL ticket & Rs. 195/- in case of Confirmed ticket. These two tickets are 3AC in 12626 Kerala Express.

I think there is no bank charge in case of ticket refund, if there is any charges, then they will debit it separately as it done at the time of booking.

It is Rs. 171/- not 175/- as mentioned by me in my earlier posts. At the time of introduction of Service Tax in railway booking I have heard that the Service Tax portion will not be refunded by the Railway at the time of cancellation and we have to file separately with Service Tax department for the refund like in the case of TDS. From this it got cleared that Service also refunded after deducting Rs. 5/- per booked ticket, balance amount get credited in the bank.
