Sealdah - Ajmer Express should have a halt for atleast 2 minutes at Dakshineswar. Previously Lal Quila Express was the only option for Dakshineswar to Delhi, now Lal Quila Express is cancelled permanently and there is no train from Dakshineswar to Delhi. If Sealdah - Ajmer Express gets halt at Dakshineswar, Passengers can deboard at Agra and then catch any Delhi Bound train from Agra.

The same passengers from Dakshineswar can take a metro to Howrah or a suburban train to Sealdah and instead take trains like Howrah Rajdhani, Sealdah Rajdhani or Sealdah Duronto and reach Delhi way before reaching the same destination by changing train at Agra

Ajmer Express halt should be a replacement Halt for Lal Quila Express towards Kanpur. Before 2014, only Lal Quila Express had gone towards Kanpur from Dakshineswar, after cancellation of 13111, no train from Dakshineswar has a halt for Kanpur, Tundla bound trains.

I doubt if anyone used to travel in trains like Lal Quila, Janata, Upper India, Koaa Anvt all the way till Delhi. Those trains used to serve as a connection between intermediate stations.
And Dakshineswar is very much within KMDA. It's completely unnecessary to provide halts to such long distance trains just for the sake of few localities.

This train is running via DDU-BSB-PRYJ route instead of DDU-MZP-PRYJ route, is this one off or the planned route? Why not give a halt at BSB, if that's the route?

NCR didn't accepted this train via MZP. That's why it is going via BSB.

Easily it could've got 22952 or 22473 slot between ADI and BDTS.
VRL - ADI in ~ 10 hours and 7.15 hours between ADI and BDTS. But BVP division wants 19204 to halt for minimum 1 hour at Dhasa, Dhandhuka, Sarkhej and Ahmedabad.
TT of 19203 perfect but needs a speedup and slack to be removed in 19204 TT

Even, I was surprised to see the run on 19204 yesterday. I was traveling in opposite direction with #22965 , and noticed about this train. Not sure, which slot is this weekly train sharing with others ? I don't think anyone is having this slot between VRL and ADI.

Between VRL and ADI, 19204 has a dedicated slot but is the slowest as it takes 14.20 hours. The slack is given in the section between Dhasa - Ahmedabad and train routinely runs as per bailgadi timings.
The slot shared between ADI and BDTS is with 19010 / 12998 BME - BDTS Humsafar and 22950 DEE - BDTS.

This train needs

a speed up of ~ 3 hours. Many passengers of JLR - DAS section get down at Surat Vadodara Borivali. Morning arrival of 6 at BRC and 12 noon arrival at BDTS is fine. For Ahmedabad, intercity or passenger from VRL and PBR can work better.

That is why extensions are such a sham and so detrimental to the original station in the first place. BKSC is allocated PQWL in 13351 that was it's own train once.
RNC Division has cut off BKSC from several of it's train inspite of the fact that both lie in SER, because the divisional changeover is there. MURI lies in RNC Division and leaps the benefits of GNWL there.
Similarly ASN is now facing the RLWL axe on several trains originating from KOAA side.
...

That is why I was originally sympathetic to the guy from MLDT when Farakkha got extended. While MLDT retains GNWL as of now, it is likely to be discarded from the next ARP, as zonal changeover is there.

Quota distribution depends upon the will of the zone and division. For instance, there is only GNWL quota on 18619/20 Intercity Express. RNC - MURI(incl) is under SER/RNC division, MURI(excl) - CRP(excl) is under SER/ADRA division, CRP(incl) - PKA(incl) is under ECR/DHN division, PKA(excl) - DUMK(incl) is under ER/ASN division, and DUMK(excl) - GODA is under ER/MLDT division.

SER can well accomodate BKSC under GNWL quota for SER/RNC and SER/CKP division originating trains.

Point taken, but such allowances won't be made for comparatively long distance trains like Delhi and North India bound trains.
Hope you catch my point. That's why I believe that extension of any trains is ultimately a major loss for the initial originating/terminating stations.
